MEET IAN HARRUP

Ian Harrup has always been defined by his passion for leadership and storytelling, qualities that have shaped his work both in his career in communications and media and in his personal endeavors. In December 2025, he became the Director of Communications for the Republican Party of Texas, where he worked closely with former RPT Chairman Abraham George to produce engaging video content, graphics, and email campaigns for the party to encourage participation in 2026’s Republican Primary season. Most recently, he was responsible for setting up and managing several simultaneous live streams for the 2026 State Convention, an undertaking that Harrup considers one of the most challenging and rewarding of his career to date. Previously, Ian honed his skills as a producer, editor, writer, and videographer on Lone Star Emmy-nominated shows LISD The Lead and LISD Overtime. At Texas A&M University, he served as the photographer for the student organization BUILD's marketing team and as the Director of Finance for Sport Management Society. He is also an Eagle Scout from Troop 123 and partnered with his troop to produce an online video series called Surviving a Pandemic in 2020, which taught scouting lessons and offered guidance on adjusting to life during the COVID-19 outbreak. Ian graduated from Texas A&M with a degree in Communication in 2025 and uses his broad experience to pursue a career in communications and digital media.
